Proposals requested for the renovation of the entire 26,808 SF second floor of the
Preston Smith Library building for student support, collaboration areas, maker
space, office suites, rare book room, Academy of Teaching-Leadership and
Learning space, and Global Health. In addition 1,932 SF of areas on the first floor
will be renovated as part of this project. Work will include selective demolition,
sealed concrete finishing, metal fabrications, woods & plastics, thermal &
moisture protection, openings, finishes, fire suppression, MEP, temperature
regulation and fire alarm & detection system.
